The official results and rankings of the 2009 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition will be announced in October, and in the meantime, here is a sneak peek of the top images as selected by the judges. Each day, we’ll post five new images — can you match the correct description to each photomicrograph? Whether you’re a Photomicrographic Phenom or an Ocular Fizzle, you’ll appreciate the artistry of these images.
