Martin Scott, a consultant in scientific imaging, is the coordinator of the High Magnification Laboratory at Rochester Institute of Technology. The former director of Scientific Imaging Markets at Eastman Kodak Company, he has also lectured extensively on photomicrography. He is past president of the Biological Photographic Association and a member of the New York Microscopical Society, The State Microscopical Society of Illinois and the Royal Microscopical Society.

Arch Manzione is Chief of Materials Characterization at the United Technologies Research Center, East Hartford, Connecticut. he directs the activities of numerous laboratories in research on nickel base super alloys, titanium alloys, composite materials, high-temperature materials, coatings, and fuel cells. He is also involved in problem-solving, materials analysis and failure analysis in the areas of electronics, engine components, automotive parts, and commercial products. He is the author of numerous papers in spectroscopy and is a member of MAS and IMS.

Frederick Skvara is an attending pathologist at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. A past president of theNew York Microscopical Society and a member of the Biological Photographic Association, his award-winning photomicrographs have appeared in textbooks, consumer publications, the Encyclopedia and numerous trade magazines.

William West is head of the Biological Photography Department of the Carolina Biological Supply Company in Burlington, North Carolina. His laboratory photographs have appeared in dozens of books, magazines, exhibits and calendars, and he has won numerous awards for his photomicrographs. In addition to speaking before numerous trade and school groups each year, he supervises the creation of visual materials for teaching biology and related subjects.
