2025 Photomicrography Competition

In Their Own Words

I am proud to be on top 20 winners of the 2025 Nikon Small World, I am happy to know that many people will see the beautiful and colorful that is the micro world.

My winning image shows spore sacs (sporangia) of a fern at different levels of maturity: the ones with light blue annulus are the younger, the ones with yellow annulus are the middle age and the ones with green annulus are the oldest.

I am happy to be part of Nikon Small World because this kind of events allow people to know about science and to know about my work with the microscope and I hope that motivates people to know about and participate in science events.
